About him: we present Riccardo Danielli dreamer in Allerona and his PLIOCENE, blend of Grechetto and Trebbiano. We are in Umbria on the border with Tuscany and Lazio where the new adventure of this young winemaker is born; this first vintage was vinified in collaboration with the super friends of Il Vinco, but the project will come to life even more next year, when the new cellar will light up and we'll begin to taste the fruits of the small microparticles with fifty-year-old vines refurbished by Riccardo!
Spontaneous fermentation with only indigenous yeasts and short maceration on the skins for 2 days; no addition of sulphites, no filtration or clarification. Great minerality, super citrus mix, herbaceous notes and a captivating drinkability...impossible to ask for more!
On the label among the waves that become Umbrian hills there is a whale. The whale not only because it's the symbol of Riccardo's rebirth, but also because the vineyards (around 500 meters above sea level) lie on what was the seabed in the Pliocene era.
Unmissable little gem!!!
