BT 2013 RECRUE DES SENS by YANN DURIEUX

BT 2013
Recrue des Sens by Yann Durieux

One of the many interpretations of mr. Durieux...my goodness what a Pinot Noir!
Grapes from fifty-year-old vines planted on the land of Aux Boutières in Savigny-lès-Beaune (Burgundy). About a month of delicate maceration on the skins in old wooden barrels where the agement also follows for about two years.
Despite its age it's a riot of vitality, with an incredible freshness that accompanies the drink from the first to the last sip. As soon as it's opened, it releases aromas of small red fruits while spices take over over time; sensations also found on the palate where in addition to these we perceive the classic herbaceous notes that distinguish many of his labels; very delicate tannins and a long finish.
Yet another demonstration that natural wines without added sulphites still have infinite aging potential and that instead of devaluing them, it raises them to untouchable levels for other types.
