KLINEC

Tradition and history carried on by the Klinec family in the magical land of the Collio Goriziano, a rich and ancient territory and above all with a soil full of minerals that nourish the vines like no other thing in the world can do better!
The historic and small family business is today led by Aleks Klinec and his wife Simona in the village of Medana (Slovenia).
The vineyards divided into nine parcels for a total of 6.5 hectares, are managed following the principles of biodynamics and composed of the most important local varieties such as Rebula (Ribolla Gialla), Jakot (Friulano), Malvasia Istriana, Pinot Grigio, Verduzzo Friulano, Merlot and Cabernet Sauvignon.
In the cellar only spontaneous fermentations and macerations on the skins shortened over time in order not to distort the varietal and enhance its drink. Once fermented, the juices rest in wooden barrels (acacia and mulberry for the whites, cherry and oak for the reds) for 2 to 3 years.
Klinec wines are deep and super territorial, typically mineral as if they had been filtered between the rocks of sandstone marl. Live and real wines!!!
