About him: the Rosso of Valtellina from the Barbacan winery is an agile, lean and juicy red wine produced in San Giacomo di Teglio in Valtellina, at the end of the Valgella sub-zone. It's obtained from pure Nebbiolo grapes, carefully selected and reared in one of the most inaccessible Italian alpine areas for the cultivation of the vine.
Of bright ruby red color, with purple hues; intense aromas of crisp red fruit and small red fruits appear on the nose, including cherry, raspberry and currant, floral notes of rose and spicy hints. In the mouth it's fresh, balanced, slightly peppery and with well integrated tannins.
