Winery: Kindeli by Alex Craighead
Viticulture: artisans made like they used to be!
Nation: New Zeland
Grape varieties: 90% Pinot Noir, 10% Syrah but also a pinch of Petit Verdot
Alcohol: 12,5% vol
Wine making: 10% with carbonic maceration; the rest spent between five and twelve days of maceration on the skins with about 10% of the mass still with the stems; all in steel
Aging: steel; no clarification, filtration or addition of sulphites
Serve at: 14-16 °C
Food matches: white and red meats but not too tasty
About him: the red version glouglou according to Alex! Fresh and young, with the characteristic brazen notes of flowers and small red fruits donated by carbonic maceration. A very lively, juicy wine with delicious and fine tannins.
