Discovering Pet Nats, as well as petillant naturel as they say from beyond the Alps. Very interesting category of natural wines to be tried; wines obtained thanks to the natural refermentation of the juice with its own yeasts in the bottle thus creating the natural effervescence.
In some cases the wine is bottled with still a little residual sugar which, with the heat of the spring following the harvest, re-start fermenting in the bottle, or with the addition of fresh must always from the following harvest.
Strictly disgorged by hand or even better with yeast deposits inside the bottle, which if shaken will give you emotions you have never experienced!
Here is our proposal of natural bubbles in all senses:
Cinciallegra 2020 Il Roccolo di Monticelli - Garganega with a pinch of Trebbiano di Soave both left to macerate on the skins for a long time
Pizzicante Rosato 2019 Le Coste di Gradoli - Aleatico of Lake Bolsena; hand-disgorged
Sur Lie Alpino Rosato 2020 Cantina Furlani - Pinot Nero from Trentino
Festejar Blanc 2021 Domaine la Boheme - Chardonnay from Beaujolais, Pinot Gris, Pinot Blanc and Riesling from Alsace
La Mossca 2020 Crocizia - Moscato Bianco and Moscato Giallo from Emilia macerated on the skins for three days and then refermented in bottle
Vespaiò 2020 Il Moralizzatore - Vespaiola and Tai Bianco from Veneto macerated on the skins for six days and then refermented in bottle
