BARBACAN
The masters of Chiavennasca (Valtellina's Nebbiolo) are back, real ambassadors of the home territory! Heroic agriculture for a family of heroes: Angelo, Luca and Matteo carry on the wine making traditions of Valtellina by cultivating this precious vine on the famous steep terraces.
Every season ancient gestures are repeated that carry on the identity of a people that has always been linked to the cultivation of Nebbiolo and thus the Barbacan wines are born, artisanal in the true sense of the word and respectful of the terrors of belonging, faithful portraits of the vintages with their oddities and their balances, always different and always a pleasant surprise!
Rosso Alpi Retiche 2019 - Chiavennasca; maceration on the skins does not have a predetermined duration, but varies according to the natural balance given by each vintage; aged for about 8 months, partly in steel, another in old barriques; agile, slender and juicy. € 19.90
Rosato Alpi Retiche 2019 - the latest born in Barbacan house; son of the love for his land and the desire to recover old vines of ancient local varieties that were mistakenly abandoned and which risked being forgotten. The elegance of Nebbiolo mixed with the genuineness of the other vines form a perfect union that expresses all the potential of the terroir. € 21.90
Wine Symphony wine shop of natural wines from small vigneron with a big heart.
